| Filter Press
Operation The two main components of the filter press are the filter plates and the hydraulic cylinder system. The hydraulic cylinder holds all of the filter plates closed, while solids are forming a cake inside the filter plates. Dirty fluid is forced under pressure into the filter chamber by a fluid process pump. Fluid enters in the center of the filter plates, with all chambers being filled simultaneously. The solids are retained by the filter cloth. Once passing through the filter cloth the cleaned fluid then travels to the discharge/air blowdown manifold. The trapped solids form a build-up in each filter chamber called a "cake". Once compacted under maximum pump pressure the cake can be discharged. |

A space saving design allows the cylinder to be flipped up and out of the way when not in use. One air connection operates the hydraulics, cake dry, and an optional diaphragm fluid pump. Sizes start at 1.0 cu ft. and range up to 5.0 cu ft. |
