Portable Clamp-On Mixers Direct Drive or Gear Drive The type of mixer recommended for your application is dependent upon the process requirements. Direct drive mixers are designed for low viscosity or small volume applications or applications requiring high shear. Gear drive mixers are effectively used on higher viscosity products or larger volume applications. Ranging from 1/4 to 5 horsepower, with seven standard speeds and a complete impeller selection, MixMor has the optimum mixer, including All Stainless Steel and USDA Accepted models, for your application Fixed Mount Top Entering Mixers > Direct Drive or Gear Drive The type of mixer recommended for your application is dependent upon the process requirements. Side Entering
Mixers Side entering mixers are used for blending, storage and off-bottom solid suspension applications. They are commonly used in major industries such as petroleum, crude oil, gasoline, chemical, edible oil, asphalt and paper mills. Because of their low initial cost and easy installation, side entering mixers are often preferred for large tanks where mixing is easily accomplished or for large storage tank applications. |

Turbine Mixers Turbine mixers are used in a wide spectrum of applications including simple blending as well as viscous blending. They are well suited for applications which are controlled by tank circulation such as solids suspension and heat transfer. They are frequently used in applications requiring fluid shear and mass transfer, for example: gas absorption, dissolution, crystallization and various reactions. Mixer Drives MixMor offers four series of mixer drives ranging from 1/3 to 100 horsepower including worm gear, combination helical/worm gear, combination helical/spiral bevel gear and all helical gear reduction units. This selection enables MixMor to recommend the mixer best suited for your application. |
| Impellers Mixing applications have different process requirements and that is why our engineers have such a complete selection of impellers ranging from the time proven, conventional pitched blade turbine to the state-of-the-art FloMor high-efficiency hydrofoil impeller. We have the optimum impeller for your application. |

The FloMor impeller is a true axial flow hydrofoil impeller producing one of the most efficient flow patterns with low power consumption and shear. Available in three, four and wide blade designs for applications up to 50,000 centipoise. |

The curved blade turbine impeller produces a radial flow pattern with less shear and power consumption than a vertical flat blade turbine. It is used in applications such as heat transfer, high solids contents or low liquid levels. |

The vertical
flat blade turbine impeller
is a radial flow design used widely in low liquid levels or high
shear applications with high power consumption that axial flow
impellers. Four and six blade designs are available. The Rushton turbine impeller utilizes four or six vertical flat blades attached to a horizontal disk. It is typically used in conjunction with a sparge ring for gas dispersion applications. |

The pitched blade turbine impeller produces an axial flow pattern with a balance of shear and pumping when viscosities, liquid levels and impeller size preclude the use of foils. It can be the most cost effective impeller for many applications. Design incorporate three and four blades at 45° or 30° pitch. |
| Custom Impellers In addition to our diverse selection of standard impellers, Our engineers can design custom impellers that will solve your toughest mixing problems. |
